Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage Anonimogram (https://anonimogram.com) actually uses. We've kept this to what's really there — no boilerplate list of cookie categories that don't apply to us.

Cookies we set

`anon_visitor_id`

This is the only cookie the Service itself sets.

Firebase Authentication's own storage

When you sign in (Google Sign-In or email and password), Firebase Authentication's own SDK — running in your browser — manages whatever local session data it needs to keep you signed in across visits, according to Firebase's own documentation. This is Firebase's browser storage, not a cookie we set ourselves, and we don't control its exact mechanism. Signing out clears it.

Local storage (not cookies): History and Favorites

If you use the Service's Search History or Favorites features, that data — the usernames you've searched or saved, and a timestamp — is stored only in your own browser's local storage. It is never sent to or stored on our servers, and we have no access to it. Search History keeps at most your 20 most recent searches. Clearing your browser's site data for anonimogram.com removes it.

What we don't use

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking or profiling cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, an advertising pixel, or any similar service.

Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Blocking `anon_visitor_id` won't break the Service, but it means we can't recognize you as the same anonymous visitor between searches, so the free-search allowance may not work as intended. Signing in avoids this entirely.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if what we actually store changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
